ThreadLift Facelift

The Threadlift Facelift is a revolutionary non-surgical, non-invasive facelift performed using tiny, non-dissolving surgical sutures or threads to lift and support the droopy elements of the brow, cheeks, face and neck.

  Threadlift Facelift

Suitable candidates

Threadlift facelifts are not for everybody, mainly used to lift the brows, cheeks, jowls and neck.

Most people with early sagging in the face or neck areas are good candidates for this procedure.

The technique is quickly becoming the facelift of the future amongst younger, busy people that want subtle “preventative” procedures without having to take time away from their normal routine to achieve it

Younger patients (35-50) are the most appropriate since they have more elasticity in their skin. Older patients can also benefit from the Threadlift facelift but must recognize that their results, while significant, will be less dramatic than younger patients. Patients whose faces are very heavy or very thin are not ideal candidates.

While not an equal alternative to a traditional face lift, the Threadlift facelift is an effective, non-surgical alternative to more invasive procedures.

The procedure

There are two components to Threadlift facelift. The first part is performed by inserting threads, under the skin and looping the suture around the deep supportive tissues of the brow line, cheek, corner of the mouth, jowl and neck. These threads that run under the skin towards the hairline, are then tightened to lift and support the droopy tissue.

The second part of the Threadlift facelift provides additional lift and shaping and uses tiny "anchored" non-dissolving threads, which are normal surgical sutures modified with tiny "anchors" on each end. The anchored threads are inserted with a small hollow needle into the deep fat of the droopy facial elements, allowing the surgeon to lift, sculpt and shape the brow, cheeks and jowls

With the lift effect secured, the hollow needle is removed leaving no scar, the end of the thread is cut off very close to where a loop is tied securely and the knot cut, allowing it to retract deep under the skin where it cannot be felt or seen.

The threads used during the Threadlift facelift stay within the deep fat and subcutaneous tissue forever, as they are non-absorbable and provide support and prevention against further aging.

The lift effects are immediate and patients can return to most daily activities the day after their procedure. Some bruising and swelling may occur, pain and discomfort are minimal.

Results

Results of this procedure are significant and natural, and if post-operative care instructions are carefully followed, the results can be long lasting.

Depending on the patient’s age, the level of aging that has occurred, the amount of sun exposure, and other aging variables, the threadlift facelift can last anywhere from 3-10 years.

One of the advantages of this non-surgical procedure is that Threadlift has an adjustable lift feature i.e. as you continue to age, you may return to have the Threadlift adjusted or tightened in any, or all of the regions.
